HOSPITAL LEVY
OHINEMURI APPRECIATION ADVICE OF REDUCTION / Appreciation of the action of the Thames Hospital Board in reducing the hospital board levy for the Ohinemuri county, following the subsidising by the Government of the board’s expenditure, was expressed*’ by the county chairman, Mr W. Marshall, at Wednesday’s meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council. A resolution of thanks and’ appreciation was passed by the council, oa the motion of the chairman. A letter was received from. the Thames Borough Council in reference to the Ohinemuri County Council’s previous letter on hospital rating. This letter stated that at a meeting of the Borough Advisory Cpmmittee on June 15, the following resolution had been carried:—-“That a reply be < sent (to the ’CSSn-' cil), stating that in the opinion of thia committee it is too late m the year to ask ths Thames Hospital Board to wadjust its finances for the curroot year, but the committee has no doubt the increased payment by the Govern-, ment will reduce future eontributiom* by local authorities.”—The letter wa* received. 1 /
