PRESENTATION MADE
WAITAKARIJRU FAREWELL' MR & MRS. GODKIN HONOURED A farewell evening was extended to Mr and Mrs J. Godkin by the residents; . of Waitakaruru, in the hall recently. A good attendance of welbwishers was present and the ever-popular Har- t rison’s Orchestra supplied music for the dancers. After supper Mr C. Clark made a'-’ presentation of a cheque showing-the esteem in which the guests had been " held. Mr Godkin will be missed, as he has always been a willing helper at ; all functions. He also assisted in running the Saturday picture night and..’, has been the secretary of the Wai- J takaruru Patriotic Committee. It hoped that the family will find' as many friends as they have left at/J their new home which is at Kerepeehi, /- Amongst those present were:— Godkin, Mesdames C.
