DANCE AT TURUA
PATRIOTIC FUNDS AIDED AN ENJOYABLE EVENING Another successful patriotic dance ~was held in the Turua Buildings, Turua, on Friday night. Music was supplied by Mrs T. Clark and Mrs J. Thrupp at the piano and Mr A. Whitehead on the drums. Master B. Fox acted as M.C. The Monte 'Carlo prizes were won by Miss 0. Radich and Miss N. Elvin. The whistling Monte Carlo caused much amusement, the section whistling the best staying on the floor and the other sections being left out. The winners were Mrs K. Fox and Mr A. Burt who showed everyone present how to. whistle.
Special prizes were won 'by Mrs F. Loader, Mrs W. Maunder and Mr J. Deacon. Among those present were:— Mesdames T. Lowe, P. Henry, J. Thrupp, T. Clark, J. Miller, F. Loader, A. H. Sutton, F.
