PAEROA PUBLIC LIBRARY MEMBERSHIP GROWING JUNIOR & ADULT SUBSCRIBERS A further increase, bringing the total number of readers enrolled with the Paeroa Public Library to 989 was reported by the librarian, Mrs R. H. Buckrell, to Thursday night’s meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council. The librarian’s report read as under:— “During the period I have to report an increased membership of 41 adults and 20 juniors, bringing the total

membership to 989. Against this, however, a number of people have left the district and the exact membership is not available at present. “Thirty-three new books have been added to the library. “The Government van visited us on May 25, when 81 non-fiction and 114 fiction books were selected. The Library Committee assisted in making the selection. “During the period the Library Committee met from time to time when matters of Interest to the general welfare of the library were discussed.”
