VERCOE’S SALE IN PAEROA DAIRY HEIFERS LN DEMAND Messrs G. W. Vercoe and Co., held their fortnightly stock sale in Paeroa on Monday when a good yarding of cattle came forward and changed hands at satisfactory prices. Good quality heifers showing for- - ward in calf were i t good demand. Quotations: — Fat cows, £5 5s to £6 ss; boner cows, £2 10s to £4 3s; 3-year steers. £8 10s; yearling heifers, £3. Dairy heifers, good, £9 10s to £lo| ss; Jersey cross heifers, £8 5s to S 9 7s 6d; backward, £5 10s to £7 15s; dairy cows, early calvers, £7 15s to £9; backward, £4 10s to £6; store hoggets, 16s 3d to 17s.
