WOMEN’S DIVISION

MEETING HELD AT KEREPEEHI POINTS PRIZE TO MRS HARVEY The monthly meeting of. the Kerepeehi branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in Kerepeehi Hall on the evening of June 23. Mrs A. L. Fisher presided over a fair attendance of members. The secretary was instructed to write a letter of thanks to Miss Paul, president of the Ngatea Women’s Institute for entertainment supplied by members at a concert held in aid of the Soldiers’ Parcel Fund. The representation to the forthcoming conference to be held in Wellington was discussed. The secretary reported that 21 parcels had been posted last month to the Kerepeehi boys overseas. The points prizes presented by the president were awarded as follows:— Mrs R. Harvey 1, Mrs V. M. Strong 2. Mrs W. Chick was the winner of the competition for the evening. It was decided that during the winter months meetings be held in the afternoon.
