DECLINE IN DAIRYING HERD TESTING FIGURES LOCAL AVERAGES FOR MAY Striking evidence of the fall in dairy production is given in the latest averages for May, compiled by the Auckland Herd Improvement Association. These show that little more than half the number of herds were tested in that month compared with May last year—6s3 against 1294, while cows numbered 22,983 against 49,525.
