A message from Noumea says that Major William EL McKinley, United States Signal Corps, was driving, a jeep at an island base when a young sailor asked him for a ride. He stopped and up rushed hie eon Robert, aged 18. Without knowing it they had been stationed within 500 yards of other for two moeths. Their'home hi in San Diego, Califirata.
