Successful Carnival

’ Residents of Waihi and district are to be congratulated on the splendid result of the three months’ queen carnival •in aid of the 1943 All-Pur-poses Patriotic Appeal, which, was brought to a close by a most enjoyable ball in the Miners’ Hall on Monday evening. No less a sum than £1691 5s 4d was realised.
