Public IN otice OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL RATES FOR YEAR 1943-44. PURSUANT to Section 54 of “The Rating Act, 1925,” notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the above Council at its next ordinary meeting to be held on the 14th. day of JULY, 1943, at the Council Chambers, Belmont Road, Paeroa, to make and levy the following rates for the year begun on the Ist. April, 1943 and ending on the 31st. March, 1944: 1. A GENERAL RATE of (four pence three-farthings) in the £ under the provisions of Section 120 of “The Counties Act, 1920” on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Ohinemuri. 2. The following SPECIAL RATES under the provisions of Section 127 of “The Counties Act, 1920,” over the respective Special Rating areas: Antecedent Liability Redemption Loan: |d in the £. Mangaiti Bridge Loan: l-10d in the £. ; Kaimanawa Roads Loan: l|d . in the £. Waihou Bridge Loan: l-12d in the £. Victoria Street Bridge Loan: |d in the £. Frankton Road Loan: £d in the £. Pukekauri Road Loan: in the £. Relief of Unemployment (Waihi-Whangamata Road) Loan: in the £. Tauranga County Special: Id in the £. < 3. A DRAINAGE RATE under the Provisions of Sections 167 and 173 of “The Counties Act 1920” on Class A lands 2d in the £, on Class B lands 1 l-3d in the £, and on Class C lands 2-3 d in the £ on the Unimproved Value of all rateable property in the Komata North Drainage District. Each of the above rates to be payable in one sum on the 9th. day of August, 1943, at the office of the Council, Belmont road, Paeroa. In accordance with Section 2 (4) of “The Counties Amendment Act 1931” an estimate has been prepared of the proposed expenditure of the Council during the above period showing the amount available for that purpose, the additional sum required, the total rateable value of the property on the Valuation Rolls, and the General rate, thereon necessary to raise the money required. This estimate has been approved by the Council and may be inspected by ratepayers at the County Office, Paeroa, during ordinary office hours. The Valuation Rolls of the County of Ohinemuri are open for inspection at the County Office, Paeroa, during ordinary office hours. Dated at. Paeroa this 25th. day of June, 1943. A. A.
