APPEALS HEARD
ARMED FORCES BOARD SITTING HELD IN COROMANDEL A sitting of the No. 1 Armed Forces Appeal Board was held in Coromandel recently, the chairman, Mr Edwin Edwards, presiding. Associated with him were Messrs E. J. Wilton, J. J. Poland and the secretary, Mr A. Ripley. The appeals for the following reservists were adjourned sine die, reservist to remain in his present occupation and continue to serve in the Home Guard. Appellant’s name is given in parenthesis:— A. F. Hamilton, timber worker of Coromandel (Hamilton Bros); J. J. O’Hara, publican of Coromandel (self); S. Jackson, farmer of Port Jackson (self); W. G. Thompson, farmer of Whitianga (father); W. S. Evans, farmer of Colville (self); C. R. Bronlund, farmer of Port Charles (self); C. R. Beatson, farmer of Port Charles (self). The. appeal for P. E. C. Mizen of Great Mercury Island, was adjourned sine die. The appeal of W. A. Turner, fisherman of Coromandel was adjourned sine die, reservist to continue to serve in the Home Guard.
