MEETING IN WHITIANGA SPECIAL “TUNISIA DAY” At the Whitianga Committee meeting held on June 14, it was proposed that cards were to be printed and used in conjunction with collection boxes in the various local stores for the purpose of raising funds for local soldiers’ gift parcels. ' It was also proposed that the committee have a special afternoon for the soldiers, to be called “Tunisia Day” the programme to consist of a bring-and-buy, copper trail, entertainment, etc., and also an Ugly Man competition. Details to be arranged by the ladies committee. Mr R. Smith was welcomed as a member of the Whitianga Patriotic Committee. ~
