COROMANDEL DANCE

AN ENJOYABLE FUNCTION PATRIOTIC FUNDS ASSISTED An enjoyable dance, organised at short notice by the younger set, was held in St. George’s Hall, Coromandel, on Saturday night. Although the attendance early in the evening was small it was augmented after the pictures came out and it- proved a very enjoyable evening. The music was supplied by Mrs J. H. Lucas and Lee Perfect and Mr Eric Gamble acted as M.C. Extra foxtrots were played by some Maori visitors. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss Mona Ngapo and Mr Wikario and a spot foxtrot was won by Miss Ngapo and Sgt.-Major Churcher. The net proceeds amounting to £1 14s 3d were donated to the patriotic funds. Dancing continued till midnight,
