FUNCTION HELD AT KEREPEEHI SOLDIERS’ PARCEL FUND AIDED A bring-and-buy afternoon was held in the Kerepeehi Hall recently in aid of the Soldiers’ Parcel Fund. Although the day was showery there was a good attendance' and the result was successful as those who attended spent freely. The stalls were well laden and those who gave their services and goods were greatly appreciated. Those in charge of the stalls were: —Fruit and vegetables, Mrs Red-

wood; cakes and jam, Mrs A. J. Innis; fancywork, etc., Mrs A. Strong and Mrs A. Fisher. In charge of the afternoon tea, Mesdames E. Taylor, H. Booth and H. Innis. Competitions were won >byi Mepdames E. Taylor and R.
