WAIHOU BEATEN 10 TO 3 match at te aroha lN f GAME SEEN r t In a last, interesting rugby game played on the Te Aroha Domain on Saturday the Paeroa junior representative team defeated a Waihou 'Home Guard team by 10 points to three. In the first half of the game Paeroa dominated play but after the interval weight and fitness began to tell and the Paeroa team was hard put to hold the home team from scoring. Paeroa (green). —C. Paeroa continued to press and Baker cut through when the green backs got away but was well grassed when he hung on too long. Chainey with some pretty dribbling took the ball down the line from halfway, beat Johanson but.in the race for the ball was beaten near the line. Paeroa continued to press and the backs got away right on Waihou’s line with Waihou out of position but fumbling spoilt the movement. In the ensuing scramble on the line Waihou were penalised but Speechley could do no good with the kick which was from well out. Paeroa Set The Pace Paeroa continued to set the pace and play was well in Waihou territory - The whites twice forced in a few minutes to gain relief. Half-time was called with Paeroa attacking.
