APPEAL TO ALL

“THE LEAST WE CAN DO” 1943 ALL PURPOSES APPEAL An appeal for all possible help for the 1943 All Purposes Appeal was made by the Mayor, Mr Edwin Edwards, at Thursday night’s meeting of the Paeroa Chamber of Commerce. Paeroa has been given a quota of £2144 to raise this year and although he was sure all were behind the appeal to date many had not yet come forward. Funds were urgently needed to continue the work of providing comforts for the men who were serving in the Armed Forces and he asked all to come forward at once with donations to help in this work. On the motion of Mr C. Townshend it was agreed that the • chamber support the 1943 All Purposes Appeal. “It is the least we who are living in comfort can do for the men who are fighting on our behalf overseas,” added Mr Townshend.
