ODDFELLOWS MEET

LOYAL HAURAKI LODGE MEMBERS ATTEND WELL The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Hauraki Lodge was held in the Lodge Room, Coromandel, on Monday, June 7. The N.G., Sister J. Notman, presided over a good attendance of members. Fraternal greetings wre received from P.G. Bro. G. E; Tiller who expressed pleasure at the continued success of the lodge and congratulating the members on winning the membership shield for the second time.

A letter was received from P.G. Bro. Jas. Gray, District Grai ter, accepting the lodge’s in i .tun to be present at the 48th. L.i.hday celebrations to be held in October. A decision as to the nature of the above function will be made next month. Sick visitors’ reports were regarded as satisfactory. The nomination of P.G. Sister E. M. Lucas for Group Officer of Group No. 11 was carried unanimously.

After the lodge prayer was read, lodge closed and a very tasty supper was provided by the hostesses and host for the evening, Sisters Cailson, Z. Anderson and Bro. D. Beech. Sister Notman welcomed several visitors to the social side of the evening including Sgt.-Major Henderson, who is spending a*short time in Coromandel.
