Mr P. Mudford,, of Awaiti, is a visitor to Rotorua.

Mr E. Roberts, of Hikutaia, is an inmate of the Thames Hospital. Mr J. Durman who has been visiting Auckland, has returned to Kerepeehi. Mr A. Fisher, of Netherton, spent the week-end in Auckland. Mr K. Menzies has returned to Kerepeehi after spending the weekend in Auckland.

Mr A. Stone who spent the weekend in Auckland has returned to Kerepeehi. The decision to send a telegram of congratulation to the Hon. W. ’Perry, M.L.C., on his appointment to the War Cabinet in succession to the late Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, was made at the suggestion of the president, Mr E. Edwards, at Saturday evening’s reunion of the Paeroa-Hauraki Returned Services Association. Mr Perry has been Dominion president of the association for many years, and, said Mr Edwards, he was a man of outstanding ability, so his appointment would meet with the warm approval of returned men of all political opinions.
