Public Notice* pAEROA gOROUGH COUNCIL NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STRIKE RATES IN THE BOROUGH OF PAEROA Notice is hereby given that the Paeroa Borough Council, at a meeting to be held in the Borough Council Chambers, Normanby Road, Paeroa, on the Bth. day of July, 1943, at 7.30 p.m., will make and levy the following rates for the period commencing the Ist. day of April, 1943, and ending on the 31st. day of March, 1944, under: — Sections 77-79, 89-95 and 100 of the “Municipal Corporations Act, 1933,” and Amendments thereof, Sections 17-23 of the “Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” Sections 51-59 of the “Rating Act, 1925,” Section 52 of the “ Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926,” and Section 73 of the “ Reserves and. Other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1922,” and Part 11 of the “Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33” and the “Paeroa Borough Loans Conversion Order, 1934,” namely : — * A General Rate of 2d in the £. A Separate Lighting Rate of |d in the £. A Separate Hospital Rate of 2tfd in the £. A Separate Water Rate in accordance with charges specified in Part XV. of Paeroa Borough By-Law No. 1 and amendments thereof; and to collect the following Special Rates of: — 51d in the £ in order to provide Interest and Sinking Funds on the £53,385 borrowed for the purpose of converting into .New Securities the existing Paeroa Borough Loans as set out in the roa Borough Loans Conversion Order, 1934,” such being part of the Special Rate of in the £ struck on the 20th. March, 1935. All the above rates are on the Unimproved Value on the Valuation Roll of the Rateable Property in the borough of Paeroa. To Collect a Special Rate of 5 13/16d in the £ on Lands in the Ohinemuri County, liable to Special Rates on the following:— £34,500 Sewerages Loan, £ll-, 250 Street Improvement Loan, "£lOOO Domain Improvements Loan and the £650 Financial Adjustment Loan on the Unimproved Value on the Valuation Roll of the Ohinemuri County Council. The above rates are payable in one sum on the 13th. day of August, 1943, at the office of the Council, Normanby Road, Paeroa. • XI X Notice is hereby given that the Estimates upon which the Rates are being struck and the Valuation Roll remain open for inspection at the Borough Council Chambers, Normanby Road.
