The manner in which . each girl performed her part of the delightful folk dances was both entertaining and proficient. The intricate movements of such folk dances as “Black Nag,” “Threadi the Gander,” “Twin Sisters,” “Rufty Tufty,” “Gathering Peascods,” “Brighton. Camp<,” “Gallopede,” “Nancy’s Fancy” and “Durham Reel” were perfectly performed by the neat figures in blue, and gave credit to the training they had received under Commissioner K. Harrison, Whitianga, and Captain L. Robinson, who by their whole-heart-ed co-operation had been responsible
in making the Whitianga Girl Guide Company so successful and with such an enthusiastic following. Several patch-work quilts and other handwork made by four other Guides gained them their Thrift Badges. Afternoon tea agaib concluded a worthwhile afternoon’s entertainment.
