PAEROA BASKETBALL
SIX TEAMS ENTERED PROMISING SEASON AHEAD An enthusiastic meeting of basketball girls wasQield on Saturday last, May 29, when the attendance was exceptionally good. for the season were fixed at Is 6d per membet and it was decided to commence the season with a knock-out tournament on Saturday, June 5. Miss A. Royal was elected secretary, and Miss M. Bishop was reelected treasurer. Judging by the attendance, the season holds promise of being 1 very successful and the practice games held after the meeting were played in the keenest style. Six teams have been nominated, namely Awaiti, Netherton, High School (2) and High School Old Girls (2) and will compete for two cups which have been donated.
