ON WASHING DAY
TIME AND LABOUR SAVERS REDUCE DOUBLE HANDLING When pegging out the clothes put all the articles that require to be damped before ironing on to one line and other things on another. This saves time when gathering in the clothes. As soon as the former articles are dry enough they can Ke quickly gathered in and damped down. The remainder can be left undisturbed until quite dry, to be folded into the basket straight from the line ready for mangling or to be transferred at once to the linen-press. A card-table or auto-tray will be found a great convenience at the clothes-line ■ when folding clothes straight from the line. If you possess a very fine spray to the hose, another good plan is to gently spray the ironing clothes on the line before taking them down. They can then be rolled straight up ready for ironing. , These hints save double handling of the clothes, and by preventing unnecessary creasing will also save time in ironing.
