ANNUAL MEETING OF THE CLUB OFFICERS FOR YEAR ELECTED ' The annual meeting of the Hau- ; raki Plains Golf Club was held in the Waitakaruru Hall recently, Mr G. Paton presiding over a fair, attendance of members. - fi The balance-sheet, which showed a credit, was adopted and after J various matters were discussed the following officers for the coming season were elected: Patron, Mr J. Motion; president, Mr A. G. McPher- x- ; son; vice-president, Mr F. Barker; - secretary and treasurer, Mr W. J. ' , Baxter; assistant-secretary, Miss M. Nelson; honorary auditor, Mr T. ; Elliott; general committee, Messrs A. McPherson, W. J. Baxter, F. Bar- J ker, L. Main, and the ladies’ club captain (to be appointed later); club captain, Mr G. Paton; vice-captain, Mr F. Barker; match committee, s Messrs G. Paton, F. Barker, W. J. ‘f| Baxter, A. McPherson and T. Burns. It was decided to hold the official .; opening of the club on May 30 when • $ mixed foursomes would be played. I
