PURIRI WOMEN’S INSTITUTE \

INTERESTING DEMONSTRATION The usual monthly meeting of the iPuriri Women’s Institute was held on Thursday, Mrs B. Cook presiding ever a good attendance of members. Mrs R. Hunter was elected president in place of Mrs L. Hilton, who recently left the district. During the afternoon Mrs Cleave, of Thames, gave an interesting' demonstration in the use of papier mache. The competition was won by Mrs C. Kelly, while Mrs Revell Snr., won the monthly points prize. An excellent luncheon was served, and the meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
