BRIDGES IN BAD STATE

POSITION ON THE PENINSULA — ; LOAN WILL HAVE TO BE RAISED At the May meeting of the Coromandel County Council Crs. ; H. C. Bull and T. E. Simpson, reported on the bad and dangerous state of the bridges in their ridings and a discussion arose as to how and when they could be repaired or replaced. It was the view of the majority of the councillors that a loan would eventually have to be raised for the building of bridges in the county. In the meantime when a bridge fell down it had to be replaced and it was done somehow, usually out of revenue.
