WOMEN’S DIVISION

DATE OF NEXT FLOWER SHOW

MEETING AT COROMANDEL

The monthly meeting of the Coromandel branch of the Women’s Divion of the Farmers’ Union, was held in the Catholic Schoolroom on Saturday, May 22. Owing to the bad weather the attendance was smaller than usual. Mrs Evans, immediate past president, took the chair in the absence of Mrs Anderson (president). The meeting opened with the Division Creed.

A short report on the provincial meeting held on May 11 at Paeroa was given by the secretary. A discussion ensued regarding the dale of the annual flower show this year. It was finally res'olved- that the show be held on September 18 and that necessary advertisements would appear later. Members were asked to bring any new suggestions for entries at the show to the next meeting in June when the schedule of entries would be discussed and settled.

The meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem, after which afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mrs J. McNed and Mrs W. Evans.
