RELIEF WANTED

IMPROVEMENT TO DRAINAGE REQUEST FROM RATEPAYER A request for some improvement in the drainage near Ngatea was received at Thursday’s meeting of the Hauraki United. Drainage Board from Mr Wf Laurence. Mr Laurance wrote to the clerk of the board as under: — “For some time now your board has been going to improve the drainage in this area. To date-we-have not had a great lot of relief but if you will have the batter of the roadside drain taken up from the bridge an well as have the approach to the floodgate further up the river put in order, it would ease the situation quite a bit when the winter comes.” It was decided to have the work put in order as soon as possible.
