PILOT-OFFICER E. C. DURMAN ADVICE RECEIVED BY PARENTS Advice that their son, Pilot-Officer E. C. Durman, has gained his wings in Canada has been received by Mr and Mrs F. A. Durman, of Netherton. Pilot-Officer ' Durman, who was well-known in Paeroa, was born in Rhodesia and later lived in England, coming to New Zealand with his parents when 10 years of age. He was educated at the London County Council’s Gordon School and at the Manurewa School. With his parents he settled in Netherton after he left school and prior to the war was operating a taxi in Paeroa. Pilot-Officer Durman left New Zealand about nine months ago.
