FLYING-OFFICER S. A. H. SHORT IN AN ITALIAN HOSPITAL The following cable has been received by Mr T. Short, of Paeroa, and is in reference to his son, Flying-offi-cer S. A. H. 'Short, who has been officially' posted prisoner of war. The cable reads as under: — “Your son Sydney, safe and well in Italian hospital, slightly wounded only. Will write later.”— Signed, Strong. The source of the information is unknown, but it is thought likely to have come through the Red Cross or Vatican.
