All the above Cattle are bred from Pedigree Friesian cows by Pedigree Friesian bulls and are practically all pure Totara Park strain, but unfortunately this last few years the individual registration has been neglected and consequently although the entire herd is purebred, the vendor will be unable to give a transfer except for a few foundation cows. This is a very nicely marked herd in fair condition and have been depasturing with pedigree Friesian bulls bred by Mr C. A. Kneudsen, of Wairarapa, since September 20. .The foundation cattle for the herd were purchased in July, 1937, and included (a) 27 daughters of Totara Johanna Triumph (grandson of the two famous cows, Woodcrest Johanna Triumph (grandson of the two famous cows, Woodcrest Johanna Tehee, twice Champion at the Sydney Royal Show and Alcartra Clothide Pietje, C.O.R. 11451 b. fat); (b) 16 daughters of Totara Veeman Veracity (his sire, Veeman Pontiac Prince, has daughters up to 9461 b. fat., and his dam, Bainfield Sylvia Princess 11., C.O.R. 7361 b. fat at 3 years, her dam 8781 b. fat and grand-dams 9831 b. and 9391bfat; (c) 16 daughters of Totara King Coralie (his sire a son of Ashlynn Beatus, 7511 b. fat, his dam 5651 b. fat at 2 years). . The present senior herd sire Turepo Pioneer Trojan (for sale) is from a daughter of Totara Ranger Lad, Royal Champion Bull, 1937, and has C.O.R. daughters up to 7151 b. fat.
