MAGISTRATE IMPOSES FINE

“CONTROL OF ALL FIREARMS” Edward George Fisher was charged at Tuesday’s sitting of the, Thames Police Court with being in possession of an unregistered 32-calibre rifle. He was fined £5 and ordered to pay costs amounting to 10s. The rifle was forfeited. Sergeant Edwards stated that defendant had admitted having been in* possession of the rifle for some time. “It is necessary, especially in war time,” said the magis rate, Mr W. H. Freeman, in imposing the fine, tb control rifles and ammunition.”
