HEAVY YARDING
CATTLE SALE HELD AT PAEROA BEEF PRICES ON THE RISE There was a very large yarding of all classes of cattle at the fortnightly sale conducted by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., held at Paeroa on Monday, when yarding space was taxed to the utmost. Dairy cows sold on a par with ruling rates while all beef and boner cattle showed a decided improvement, particularly beef, wdiich was in keen demand.
Best dairy cows and heifers made from £7 10s to £8 10s; medium, £6 to £7 ss; backward and inferior, £4 to £5 ss.
Best beef cows, £7 to £8 12s 6d; medium, £5 15s to £6 15s; lighter, £a 10s to £5 ss; heavy boners, £3 ss_.to £4 10s; medium, £2 10s to £3; light, £2 to £2 10s; thin, 30s tc £2; yearling calves, £2 to £3 ss; empty two-year-old heifers, £2 10s to £3 10s. Store lambs, 10s to 12s; fat ewes, IQs to 14s. Bulls, £2 to £B.
