CEREMONY IN TURUA CHURCH

A wedding took place at <St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Turua, recently, when Bessie Agnes Archer, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs F. B. Archer, of Mangatarata, was wed to Arthur Robert James Taylor, second son of Mr and Mrs W. Taylor, of Turua. The bridesmaid was Miss M. G. E. Taylor and Mr M. Martick, of Auckland, was best man. The Rev. J. More officiated.

The bride, who was given away by Mr P. J. McLachlan, was dressed in a short long-sleeved frock of salmon pink crepe de chine, .with a heartshaped neckline and gathered bodice. The skirt was full. The bride carried a bouquet of pink stock and zinnias. Accessories of navy were worn and a navy halo hat completed the effect.

The bridesmaid was dressed in a pale teal blue crepe de chine frock with a heart-shaped neckline, gathered bodice and flared skirt. A halo hat was worn to match. She carried a xb°uquet of pale pink chrysanthemums.

-The reception was held later in the Turua all, where Mrs Taylor received the guests in a wine satin marocain frock, with black accessories. She carried a bouquet of deep ping chrysanthemums.
