Public Notices COUNTY QF HAURAKI PLAINS NOTICE OF INTENTION TO LEVY RATES PURSUANT to Section 54 of “The Rating Act, 1925,” NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the Hauraki Plains County Council at its Ordinary Meeting to be held on 26th day of May, 1943, at the County Chambers at Ngatea at the hour of 12.15 p.m. to make the following rates for the period commencing on the Ist. day of April, 1943, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1944:— 1. Under the provisions of Section 120 of “The Counties Act, 1920,” a General Rate of 4d in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Hauraki Plains. 2. Under the provisions of Section 127 of “The Counties Act, 1920,” the Special Rates as set out hereunder: — (a) Conversion Loan No. 1: 2d in £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Coqnty of Hauraki Plains. (b) Conversion Loan No. 2:
3fd in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Conversion Loan No. 2 Special Rating " Area. (c) Horahia Opou Drainage Loan: fd in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property in. the Horahia Opou Special Rating Area. (d) Hauraki Plains East District Water Supply Loan: 2d in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Hauraki Plains East District Water Supply Loan Special Rating Area. (e) Waitakaruru Drainage Loan: On Class “A” lands, 2|d in the £, on Class “B” lands 2|d in the £, on Class “C” land, |d in the £, on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Waitakaruru Drainage District Special Rating Area. 3. Under the provisions of Section 167 of “The Counties Act, 1920,” a Drainage Rate on “A” Class lands, 2d in the £, on “B” Class lands, lfd in the £; on “C” Class lands, id in the £ on the Unimproved Value of all rateable property in the Waitakaruru Drainage District. The said rates to be due and payable to the Hauraki Plains County Treasurer on the Ist. day of August, 1943. The Valuation Rolls for the County of Hauraki Plains rare open for inspection during office hours at the County Chambers at Ngatea. In accordance with the provisions of Section 2 (4) of the “ Counties Amendment Act, 1931,” the estimate of the proposed expenditure in the General Account of the Council showing the amount available, the additional sum required, the total rateable value and the general rate necessary, has been approved by the Council and may be inspected by ratepayers at the County Council Chambers at Ngatea during Office hours.
