EIGHTH BIRTHDAY
ORONGO WOMEN’S DIVISION A PLEASANT AFTERNOON The eighth birthday of the Ororigo branch of the Women’s Division of the FaYmers’ Union was held recently at the home of the president, Mrs Bachelor. 'Gifts of shoulder sprays were presented to the president and secretary, Mrs Wilkins, by Mrs Clevely on behalf of the members.
Members and friends also took the opportunity of holding a gift afternoon for two of their foundation members’ daughters, Miss D. Nash, daughter of Mrs Walter Nash, and Miss Monica Nash, daughter of Mrs William Nash.
A pleasant time was spent, compe titions and musical games being held. Both mothers of the brides-to-be received posies of flowers, and sprays were presented to the young ladies, together with a useful assortment of gifts from all present.. A dainty afternoon tea was provided, and the singing of the National Anthem brought a pleasant afternoon to a close.
