Mr Paton, chairman of the committee responsible for the function, presented each man with a -useful present, and on behalf of the residents wished them Godspeed and a safe return. All four men have been resident in the district for many years, and the large crowd preseht was a true indication of their popularity. The Canal road orchestra supplied dance music and supper was dispensed by Canal road ladies.
