NOT ENOUGH RAIN

RESTRICTIONS CONTINUE PRACTICALLY NO IMPROVEMENT “The restrictions placed on all four water supplies have had to 'be continued as the recent rain made practically no improvement,” reported the engineer, Mr L. E. Shaw, to day’s meeting of the Ohinemuri Countjr Council. The report added:—

•“Through the stopping of wastage the pressure of the Paeroa and Karangahake supplies has so improved that trouble is being experienced with the older mains. All bursts have so far been repaired, but the reserve of pipes is fast disappearing.”
