IN A TERRIBLE STATE
ROAD AT WHANGAMATA
SETTLER’S PROTEST TO COUNTY
At the April meeting of the Thames County Council a letter was received from L. W. Hunt, of Whangamata, stating that the road from the post office to the wharf was in a terrible state.
The chairman, Mr D. Courtney, suggested that as there was a grader in the area, arrangements be made for it to go over the road. The council agreed to the chairman’s suggestion. . The cost of the work done by the grader would have to be charged to the riding.
