Mr “Tiny” Mathews left Mercury Bay on Friday to take up duty in Auckland.

Mrs C. Hare,' of Whitianga, is spending a short holiday in the Queen City. ,

Mr and Mrs Clayton, of Manurewa, are visiting Mercury Bay. The Misses Fellows, who have been holidaying in Whitianga, have returned to Auckland.

Mr and Mrs R. Bowman have returned to Auckland after spending the week-end with Mr Bowman, senr., Mercury Bay.

Mr and Mrs E. Rhodes, Mrs Lopes and Mr Bennett have returned to Rotorua.

Mr and Mrs Childs and Henry have returned to Te Kuiti after spending a week with Mr Bowman, senr., Whitianga. Guests at the Whitianga Hotel, Mercury Bay include Mrs Dicky and Mrs Burns, of Auckland, Mr and Mrs McDonald, of Devonport, Mrs Barnett and Mrs Williams and daughter, of Wanganui, Mrs Shaw, Mrs Anderson and Mr Wilson, of Rotorua.

Mr G. Jane, of Tirohia, spent the week-end in Coromandel with his parents, Mr and Mrs B. Jane. Mrs Frank Handley, of Tirohia, spent a very pleasant week-end in Coromandel and was the guest of her sister, Mrs Jane. Miss Hilda Quist has been spending a short stay in Coromandel with her parents, Mr and Mrs J* Quist* L.A.C.’s Alan* and Alex Young are spending their leave in Coromandel with their parents, Mr and Mr© Young, Wharf road. Pte. E. W. Wilson is reported ae wounded in a recent casualty list issued by the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force. His mother is Mrs E. Sowman, of Coromandel.
