AN ENJOYABLE EVENING
PATRIOTIC FUNDS AIDED
A small but enjoyable dance was organised and run by a section of the younger people in St. George’s Hall, Coromandel, on. Friday, April 9. Although only short notice was given, there was a satisfactory attendance and all had a very happy time.
Voluntary music was supplied by Mrs E. M. Lucas and Lee Perfect, while Miss I. Pepper played an extra 'Polonaise which was very much appreciated. Miss J. Notman and Mr R. Martin acted as M’s.C. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mrs C. Little and Mi’s D. Egan and a spot waltz was won by Miss J. Notman and Mr B. Barraclough.
The proceeds, which amounted to £1 18s net were in aid of the Patriotic Fund.
Dancing continued till midnight
