LIGHT TRAFFIC ON THE PLAINS

That 17 applicants for drivers’ licenses 'produced themselves and one failed to pass the required tests was reported to Wednesday’s meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council by the Traffic Inspector, Mr W. Wilson.

The report added: — Thirty-five vehicles were . checked for speeds and weights, etc., and 15 warnings were issued for minor breaches of the Motor Regulations. “Traffic throughout the, period yas light and no accidents of a serious nature occurred. “Through a suggestion from the council regarding ‘‘No Parking’’ signs outside the Ngatea Theatre this had been placed before the Public Works Department at Paeroa and they had the matter in hand.”
