A RELIGIOUS THOUGHT
OBEYING CHRIST’S LAW" “In the existing constitution o society a literal application of the law of Christ to every condition of social life may be impracticable; for example, in industry, business, politics, international relations. But to the individual application of Christ’s law there are no limits, except those imposed by self-love. The laws of forgiveness, of charity, of beneficence—there is absolutely nothing to prevent us obeying them, and thus paving the way for their wider obedience in society. And this will give us plenty to do.”
