WHITE HARE CAUGHT
FOUND ON A PAEROA FARM <
ANIMAL BECOMES QUITE TAME
Writing to the Weekly News on March 15, 1943, a Paeroa farmer who signs himself “E.P.,” s’ates that he has captured a white hare and asks if such colouring was rare, not having seen dr heard of one before.
“E.P.” writes to the Weekly News as under: — , “Sir,—About a week ago wh:.e working on the farm I captured a white hare. I wonder if you couul tell me if hares of that colour are very rare, as I have never heard of one. It is becoming quite tame.— E.P. Paeroa, 15/3/43.
