GET-TOGETHER MOVEMENT AUCKLAND CONFERENCE UNANIMOUS RESOLUTIONS A further report regarding the periodical conferences between members of the Aucklahd Provincial Executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union and representatives of the Federation of Labour was made by the president of the first-named body, Captain H. M. Rushworth, at its monthly meeting last week.

The president said that at a conference held on the previous day it was’ agreed to hold further meetings periodically and. to jointly arrange an agenda. The following resolutions had been agreed to unanimously at the conference: —

"We are in favour of the principle of stabilisation, but consider that the

previous attempts and failures at stabilisation should point to the provision of qualities in both goods and services. The effects of taxation on prices should also be included in the order of reference. Above all, the, growing distress of those least able to bear further burdens should be provided for.”

"That the rationing scheme be applied to all consumable commodities in short supply in order to ensure an equal opportunity to everyone.”

The resolutions were agreed to by the executive, and it was resolved to forward them t° the Dominion conference.
