NETHERTON RUGBY CLUB ANNUAL MEETING HELD OFFICERS FOR YEAR ELECTED ——— (From the Hauraki Plains Gazette Of April 2, 1923) The annual meeting of the Netherton Football Club was held on Saturday night, there 'being a large attendance. Mr H. IHeappey was in the chair and Mr B. Johnson acted as secretary. The minutes of the last annual meeting were read and confirmed. The balanpe-sheet showed a small credit; also two footballs. It was decided to hand one football over to the Netherton school

boys. The following officers were elected: President, Mr C. H. Potter; vice-presidents, all nonplayers; secretary, Mr A. Keighley; committee, Messrs H. Heappey, T. Johnson, G. Fisher, . B. Fisher, T. Richmond, W. Richmond, W. Locke and A. Keighley; selectors, Messrs H. Heappey and B. Johnson; social -committee, Messrs T. Johnson, T. ' Richmond,. W. Richmond, E. Potter, A. Robinson, B. Fisher and A. Keighley; delegates to Paeroa Rugby Union, Messrs ’G. Fisher, B. Fisher, T. Johnson, 'H. Heappey, B. Dunlop and B. Johnson. It was decided to ask Mr Luke for the use of his paddock, and that the first practice match be held on Saturday next. Votes of thanks to the chairman and secretary terminated the meeting.
