PROMOTION GAINED
FLYING-OFFICER JACK VOWLES
WELL-KNOWN NGATEA 'BOY
Advice has been received by Mr A. R. Vowles, of Hopai, Ngatea, that his son Jack has received a second promotion since gaining -his wings in Canada. Flying-Officer Vowles has for some months been engaged on Atlantic patrol, flying the renowned Sunderland flying-boats, but it is expected that he will now be transferred to another area.
