NETHERTON INSTITUTE ANNUAL MEETING HELD OFFICERS ELECTED FOR YEAR The March meeting of the Netherton Women’s Institute was held at the residence of Mrs C. W. Malcolm, Mrs A. F. Maude presiding over a good attendance of members. The meeting opened with the reacting of the Institute Prayer. The Federation president’s two monthly letters were read and much appreciated by members and were later discussed. • Great interest was shown when a beautiful and artistic brooch was passed round, the flowers and leaves being made from breadcrumbs and coloured inks. A large parcel of knitted garments for soldiers was brought in and forwarded to headquarters. A report on the year’s work was read and the balance sheet showed a very satisfactory position. Mrs J. A. Reid thanked the president and secretary for the past year s work.

The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, Mrs A. F. Maude; secretary and v treasurer, Mrs €. Stembridge; vice-presi-dents, Mrs J. A. Reid and Mrs W. Matthews.

Business concluded and a very enjoyable afternoon tea was served by Mrs Malcolm and Mrs R. W. Locke.
