INGLESIDE IN PAEROA
VERY ENJOYABLE EVENING SONGS, RECITATIONS, DANCING On Saturday evening, in the Parish Hall, Paeroa,. the Paeroa Caledonian Society held their monthly ingleside. There was a good attendance and items which were rendered were very much appreciated. After the usual welcome had heen extended to visitors, dancing commenced and continued until midnight, Items rendered were: Miss J. McInnes and pupils, Double Sword dance; Mrs J. Stevenson, songs, “Ph Walk Beside You” and “It’s June”; Mrs L. J. Smith, recitations, “Nog Bairnies” and “Life Marches On”; Mr L. Dunbar, songs, “Road to the Isles” and “Hail Caledonia”; Miss J. McInnes and pupils, dances, Highland Reel and Highland Fling; Mrs N. Good, songs, “Caller Herrin” . and “Bide Awee”; Mrs J. Mitchell, songs, “Loch Lomond” and “My Love Is Like the Red Rose.” Special thanks were expressed by those present to the supper-room staff for the excellent supper.
A very enjoyable evening was brought to a close with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne,” all present participating.
