PERSONAL.
Sir Henry Buckleton, general manager of the Bank of New Zealand, and Lady Buckleton, passed through Paeroa on Saturday en route to Puru, Thames Coast, where they spent the week-end. Mr J. T. Petrie, who for the past two and a half years has been on the staff of the Waipa Post, Te Awamutu, will take a position on the literary staff of the “Hauraki Plains Gazette” early in the new year. Mr Petrie was farewelled by the “Post” staff on the 20th inst, Mr A. Reese, editor, wishing him every success on behalf of the staff.
