Some years ago the late Mr J. Boyd, who for many years had conducted zoos at Onehunga and Wanganui, lent a male lion to the Wellington Zoo, and there it has remained ever since, a long loan, and a very well appreciated one. Last Monday Mr F. Boyd and Mrs Boyd, on behalf of the trustees of the estate of the late Mr J. Boyd, inquired of the chairman of the Reserves Committee whether the council would accept the lion as a Christmas box. They received a reply that the council would be very pleased to accept the gift.
WHY YOU HAVE INDIGESTION. How to Relieve it. When food enters your stomach large quantities of acid-bearing gastric juice are at once secreted. If too much gastric juice is secreted the food soon becomes a sour, fermenting mass, which may remain in the stomach several hours, causing great pain and distress. Instant relief can be obtained in cases of this kind by taking half a teaspoonful of “Bisurated” Magnesia powder or two or three tablets in a little water immediately after eating or whenever pain is felt. This safely, surely, and quickly neutralises the excess acid, stops the fermentation, soothes and heals the inflamed stomach lining, and at once restores painless, normal digestion. Get a package of “Bisurated” Magnesia from your chemist to-day. Use as directed, and you can laugh at digestive troubles.
